me and music!

20 years into the future:
There were many types of music i listened to while I was growing up, there was rap, r&b, country, pop, rock, and gospel. I liked to listen to everything. Mainly because I loved music! And all the different types.

They were all very different from one another. I think music changed A LOT from when my parents were kids. I think rap happened to get worst, the lyrics were more degrading then they used to be. Country changed a lot to, when my parents were younger, there was a lot of banjos and a lot of the songs sounded the same, it was still country when I was a kid but it kind of was spiced up and there was like country/rock or country/pop. Gospel changed a lot, it used to be kind of old fashion and then as time went on in my opinion it was funner to listen to an funner to worship to.

My favorite music that I liked to listen to the most was country when I was little and when I grew up and was a teenager I liked pop or hip hop a lot. I've always been the type of person to listen to all music but those were the main music I listened to. I went to church and loved gospel music as well, the kind I listened to in the youth ministry I went to was fun to worship and sing to!

What I remember the most about how the older generations felt about the music I listened to was they didn't like it!! My parents hated some of the stuff I'd listen to sometimes, like some rap or r&b. They said that it had such a bad influence on kids and teens. I didn't think it was all bad, but I do remember the time in my life where that music did have somewhat of a bad influence on me. The lyrics were all about sex, drugs, and partying really. So of course the adults weren't fans of it, most weren't at least.

Music really changes as time goes on and as you get older you can see that. I mean look back at the 40's and 50's. Music really changes all the time! It has to do with the generation of people obviously. Maybe that might be telling us something about people. You never never know. In my opinion it does have to do with the people, cause they are the ones coming up with it and singing it. I wonder what it will be like another 10 years from now.
